The Danish-American Business Summit is the premier conference in the US bringing together executives with Danish and American business interests from both nations to share winning strategies and success stories, while discussing the business models that do and equally important do not work in the US market. The Summit is hosted by turn by the regional Danish-American Chamber of Commerce organizations in close collaboration with the Danish Embassy in Washington and the American-Danish Business Council.
The first Danish-American Business Summit was held in Washington, DC and featured among others an overview of trends in the American-Danish business relations and in the business environment, panel discussions on Denmark as gateway to the Northern European markets as well as Human Resource & tax issues facing Danish subsidiaries in the US. Following Washington, DC the second summit was held in Atlanta with the theme "The American Dream - how Danish companies in the US use the American business culture as a tool for success."
With a steady growth in attendance, speakers and panel sessions, the two summits combined have attracted more than 200 business executives from a wide range of companies and industries offering a unique networking platform between entrepreneurs, established business owners, sales/marketing representatives, business developers, and CEOs from the larger Danish-American corporations.
The stage is set for the 3rd Danish-American Business Summit in Los Angeles, CA on March 6-7, 2008. The theme is how to succeed in the world's most competitive business environments and explores why both United States and Denmark top the list of the most competitive business nations in the world focused on business spirit and practices, particularly around marketing, innovation and leadership.
